
Ahmad Gamal Saad-Eddin is an Egyptian science writer and journalist and former psychiatrist. He earned his medical degree from Zagazig University in Egypt and initially practiced psychiatry. Transitioning to journalism, he led the science section at Manshoor.com, an independent Arabic website focusing on philosophy, culture, and social change. He later served as an editor for the Nature Arabic Edition.
Currently, Ahmad is one of the scriptwriters for “El-Daheeh.” He is also the fact-checker for this leading science YouTube show in the Arab region. His writings have appeared in various outlets such as Scientific American Arabic Edition, Nature Arabic Edition, and Almanassa News. His primary interest lies in exploring the interplay between science, its history, and the human experience.
Ahmad was selected as a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT for the 2024-25 academic year and is currently based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
